Ways to Engage

Mentor and guide young people
Be a positive role model for excellence and kindness
Your experience can change a life - one conversation at a time.

Current Project - Rotating Rotary Camp 2026
Beatrice’s Engagement in the Rotating Rotary Club Camp (2026)
In summer 2026, Dr. Beatrice “Bea” Loesch will support a Rotating Rotary Club camp in partnership with Rotary Clubs in Finland and Chiang Mai. Her focus is ensuring that promising young adults—many of whom face significant barriers—can participate, thrive, and carry the spirit of service forward in their communities.
About the Camp
The Rotating Rotary Club camp is designed to foster leadership, civic responsibility, and practical life skills. Participants benefit from mentorship, teamwork, and service‑oriented projects aligned with Rotary’s ideals. More information here: https://rrc.camp/english
Selection of participants
Some of the participants are orphans. All participants are young women and men aged 18–24 who share a lack of resources that would make it impossible to attend such a camp without external assistance.
Goal: Complete the selection by the end of January 2026 so that all administrative, travel, and preparation needs are in place for the 2026 program.
Why Rotary—and Why Now
Rotarians can offer a springboard—and a spark—toward a future in which these young adults act in a spirit of service, similar to the Rotary ideal. By opening doors and providing guidance, we help participants turn potential into purpose.
Beatrice’s Role
Beatrice is responsible for selecting the participants, working closely with the Rotary Club in Chiang Mai to ensure a fair, transparent process that prioritizes need, readiness, and commitment to service.
Beatrice will travel from Thailand with the participants and remain with them throughout the camp, providing continuous support, safeguarding, and mentorship.
Safeguarding & Welfare
Participant well‑being is paramount. The program follows best‑practice standards for:
Safe travel and accommodation
Confidentiality and dignity, especially for participants with vulnerable backgrounds
Equal opportunity in selection and participation
How You Can Help
Your support expands access and impact:
Sponsor a camper (travel, accommodation, and supplies)
Provide in‑kind support (learning materials, local transport, meals)
Offer mentorship or workshops aligned with leadership and life skills. More info coming soon on dates of workshops in 2026.
Donate to the general fund that removes financial barriers to attendance
Past Projects
Since January 2022, we have been deeply committed to making a difference in Chiang Mai. Our mission is to partner with local non-profits and foundations that provide Hilltribe children with a safe home and access to education.
What We Do
Our initiatives are diverse, yet united by one purpose: empowering young lives.
(Self-)Leadership workshops, designed to inspire confidence, responsibility, and self-belief
Mentorship and networking, connecting mentors with young talents and professional opportunities
Student support programs, ensuring educational continuity and personal growth through coaching and mentoring
Donation trips to remote rural areas, delivering essential supplies where they are needed most
These workshops take place during Thai school vacations or on weekends, creating opportunities for learning beyond the classroom.
Highlights That Inspire
Two standout moments define our journey so far:
May 2023: A vibrant two-day workshop featuring interactive and upskilling activities in Thai and English, bringing together 20 teenagers and 14 business professionals
April 2024: Another two-day workshop blending fun, learning, and personal development
Each workshop is more than an event—it is a celebration of potential, resilience, and community.
Why It Matters
Every activity reflects our core belief: Excellence with Kindness. By combining practical support—such as personal development, basic financial literacy, and entrepreneurial skills—we help children not only dream, but also build the tools to turn those dreams into reality.
