Meet the Founder
How the power of education changed my trajectory
My name is Beatrice Pimlac Loesch, nickname Bea. From humble beginnings to a life of impact, my journey is a testament to how mentorship and education can change destinies.
Born in the hills of Chiang Mai, Thailand, my early life was marked by hardship and uncertainty. My mother, a trailblazer from the Karen Hilltribe, was the first in our family to earn a scholarship and become a teacher. Yet, my own path was far from straightforward. Raised by my aunt, who sacrificed her own education to care for me, I learned the values of kindness and perseverance in the face of adversity.
At just eight years old, I worked in vegetable fields to help put food on the table. That experience taught me the harsh reality of poverty and ignited a fierce determination to pursue education as my way out. Education became my lifeline—a beacon of hope that empowered me to dream of a self-determined future, free from the limitations imposed by circumstance.
But opportunity didn’t come easily. Rejected by multiple schools due to lack of documentation, it was only through the compassion of a school principal who listened to my story and made an exception that I was able to continue my education. That act of kindness was a gamechanger, proving that one mentor can open doors that transform a life.
My journey took me across continents—from Thailand to Germany—where I faced new challenges: language barriers, cultural differences, and bullying. Yet, again, it was the intervention of visionary educators who believed in me, offered support, and provided opportunities that changed my trajectory. Their mentorship gave me access to academic excellence and inspired me to pursue a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration as well as a PhD in Organizational Behavior.
Throughout my career, I have been driven by the desire to give back. The kindness and guidance I received from mentors fueled my passion to help orphans and underprivileged youth, especially in the communities where I grew up. I believe that every young person deserves a chance to discover their talents, develop leadership skills, and choose their own path in life. Through training and workshops, I strive to create opportunities for those who need it most.
Education is the most sustainable way to break the cycle of poverty and exploitation. Mentorship is the spark that ignites hope and possibility.
